Overview
Novo Banco is one of the largest banks in Portugal, with a long history and a network of around four hundred branches. Alongside Portuguese companies, it accepts selected foreign companies from the EU, UK, Hong Kong, Singapore and others.
The bank does not require a minimum balance or initial deposit and gives preference to trading and services businesses. A Portuguese tax number (NIF) is required; opening can often be handled via power of attorney, which we arrange.
